Raider and I had a great day of hunting Tues morning Sept 25th, one grouse and two woodcock. A fine lunch at the picnic grounds of the Covered Bridge and campground in the Chequamegon National Forest.

High winds hit Amikville late Wed afternoon. Big Hemlock falls at Barefoot Lodge campfire pit. Another clean up job for Stanley & Stosh.
Capt Hazelwood and his crew stopped by Amiklodge and highjacked me and Mr raider for a afternoon cocktail cruise. Thank you Captain, for a great time on a beautiful day and missing those underwater structures.

Raider spent a couple hours at the University of Wisconsin Veterinary Hospital in Madison on Wed Sept 5th. He has been fighting a summer long issue with his eyes. The doctors determined he has low Schirmer Tear Test and mucopurulent accumulation in both eyes called "Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca" a fancy way of saying the eye is dry. He will be starting on the medication Tacrolimus ophthalmic ointment in a couple days along with daily eye rinsing and Opitixcare eye ointment. This treatment will probably continue daily for the rest of his life.
Amiklodge pontoon comes out for the season. Cleaned and ready for the storage barn.
