October at Amiklodge

Two of the boys (Dan and Patrick) arrived Friday Oct 7 along with my neighbor Ken to help set up camp. They will be here until Sat Oct 15.

 The mountain lodge tent and the kitchen are set up.

This year is the 6th annual trip at this spot in the Chequamegon National Forest.

Sat night a 7 lb pork loin for supper prepared by Chef Dan with side salad and corn suckatash!

The boys helped load a snowmobile at Ken's on the end.

 Wed we found a new possible site for next years camping trip located several miles south of Clam Lake. Very secluded spot.

 On Thursday Raider and I got a grouse, had to give a lesson for the boys on grouse hunting.

 Grouse hunting is a little tough on some guys, Patrick had to catch a short nap.

 Thursday late afternoon cocktail hour with bacon wrapped woodcock pieces. Thanks to Larry Talbott for visiting and sharing them with us and thanks Tom Bauman for stopping by, great Happy Hour.

Friday Happy Hour, last night in hunting camp/ Jon relaxing after a day in the woods chasing birds. It was a good week with 8 nights of camping, great time. Looking forward to next year.
