Tent up and ready for the woodburner. Patrick camping by himself until Tues when Jon, Dan and Ed show.
After setting up camp it was beer time and Raider made sure he got his share
Amazing, a beer tree was  found near camp

The new camp latrine is in operation and ready

Thursday afternoon watering hour. From left, Patrick, Ed, Dan, Jon and visitor "Colonel Klink" from the The Booth

On Friday the Camper Boys had a great day of hunting. Each one of them got a grouse and Patrick also got a woodcock. Bluegill / northern pike fish fry dinner in the evening including home fries and potato pancakes, doesn't get any better.

Raider and I also had a good afternoon hunt on Friday bagging a ole grouch and a woodweiner. Raider flushed both birds and did great retrieves
Sat night, the last night of camping, Ed, Dan, Patrick and Jon
Ed preparing a beef roast topped with bacon (potato's, carrots, onion's). Cooked in the dutch oven with coals from the fire.

Asst cook JB enjoying a beer before there last dinner. On sunday they break camp and move on to Amiklodge for the night. Packer game tonight. Afraid my septic system is in for a work out. Probably be calling the Honey Wagon tomorrow.. There heading home on Monday.
Packer Party appetizer, bacon wrapped grouse, woodcock and rabbit on the grill
Thanks to The Drunken Gourmet (Dan, check out his blog at the drunkengourmet.blogspot.com) for the fine job on these delicious little goodies. These were followed by two large Papa Murphy's pizzas and a great Packer victory over the Houston Texans 42 to 24. A great game for shooters

This wraps up the 2012 Fall Camping / Hunting trip. The boys heading home Monday morning and thinking about next years trip
